- What are Celebrity’s main dining room options?

Celebrity Edge® Series offers not one but four complimentary main restaurants—Normandie, Tuscan, Cosmopolitan, and Cyprus. Every restaurant features the same mouthwatering menu that changes nightly, plus each one offers its own ambience, along with a selection of exclusive, regionally inspired dishes and drinks. Continental breakfast is available at no charge; choices include coffee, pastries, fruit and cold cereal.

The main dining room has basically the same options as the buffet, they are just served to you in a much more classy environment. Sushi lovers can enjoy handmade rolls, ahi tuna, and the freshest sashimi at Raw on Five. If you’re craving a lobster roll or a raw bar of oysters, there’s The Porch, which is inspired by the relaxed seaside towns of the Northeast. Choose from not one but four main restaurants during your cruise vacation with Celebrity.
Celebrity Solstice Dining
The three-course set meal, in our opinion, is average at best, as everyone has to be served at the same time and it’s often not hot. We don’t want to sound like killjoys, as it’s clear a lot of time and effort goes into Le Petit Chef, but it’s just not for everyone. Luminae is the dedicated restaurant for suite passengers and as on sister ship Beyond, on Ascent it’s integrated into The Retreat complex so feels more exclusive. And like on Beyond, it’s also much bigger so you should always be able to get a table, with front-facing windows offering lovely views.
Luminae
Whether you choose Celebrity Select Early, Late, and Anytime or Celebrity Select dining, you’ll find plenty of mouthwatering options available during your luxury cruise vacation. Dinner is quieter in the Oceanview Cafe, when many passengers elect to visit other restaurants. The menu is similar to what is offered at lunch, but entrees are more robust, with carving station items like roast beef and appetizers such as ceviche.

Le Petit Chef is available at 6 PM and 8 PM nightly for a cost of $60. Of note, this is a set menu, but there is an alternate menu that does not go along with the show. If you are staying in a suite, you will have access to the Retreat and its exclusive Restaurant, Luminae.
The Complete Guide to Dining Options on Celebrity Cruises
What you eat on vacation is almost as important as where you go, and on every Celebrity vacation, we bring both those things together perfectly. The captivating scents and flavors of your dining experience will transport you to new places—without even leaving your table. On Celebrity Silhouette, you’ll embark on a culinary journey like no other. Featuring specialty restaurants and an array of bars and lounges, every experience will excite your palate and leave you wanting more. We wanted to expand our global culinary expertise even further on Celebrity Edge. To open the world—and palates—of our savvy travelers even more, we designed exciting new specialty restaurants found nowhere else at sea.
Every restaurant serves dinner, but check your Celebrity today or app for which ones are open for breakfast and lunch. Airy and contemporary main restaurant, with a large curated menu of classic and modern, regionally inspired choices. We’ve designed Celebrity Edge® to change the way you experience the world, and our culinary philosophy follows the same line of thinking. We’ve turned our focus to the destinations we visit, bringing the flavors of the world to you—right on board. 29 unique food and beverage experiences crafted by a Michelin-starred chef speak to all of your senses in distinctly different ways. Now that you know the wide array of cuisines you can enjoy during your vacation, you’re ready to discover our culinary excellence for yourself.

Cruisers with special dietary needs might want to stick with the main dining room, where vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free and no-sugar items are clearly marked on the menu. At every restaurant we ate, waiters asked beforehand whether any guest had dietary restrictions, however, there are no indicators on menus in terms of allergens. All restaurants offer a wide range of vegetarian and vegan dishes, and Eden has introduced a seven-course vegetarian tasting menu. Consummate service and dishes such as cognac flambeed lobster tail with basil, smoked bacon and Dijon-cream add a hint of theater to this exceptional dining experience. Celebrity was one of the first cruise lines to offer a spa restaurant. We saw an opportunity to create an extension of our industry's leading spa experience by introducing the Spa Café.
How does dining work on Celebrity Cruises?
Enjoy refreshing drinks poolside and be mesmerized by an ever-changing mirror installation that shines day and night. At Eden Bar, the Library of Plants is a living wall where fresh ingredients and garnishes are hand-picked for artisanal cocktails. It’s all a part of the chillful, playful, sinful Eden experience. Guests of The Retreat enjoy exclusive access to the indulgent, inviting Pool Bar with private cabanas and plush loungers. Nestled perfectly in its own delicious corner of the Rooftop Garden, this outdoor restaurant will satisfy your cravings with grilled favorites. Find out how to eat healthy on a cruise and stick to your diet without missing out on the innovative cuisine on board.

At night, the venue turns into Le Petit Chef, a digitally enhanced dinner experience which includes a four-course meal and a “show”. The restaurant offers a wide variety of options at all meals, and we were happy to find healthier options alongside some great indulgences no matter the time of day. All bread is made onboard Edge, and you can watch as pastry chefs make carb-rich treats out in the open in Oceanview Cafe. The Celebrity Edge Blu menu changes every night for dinner and features spa-style cuisine. We dined on sherry-glazed pheasant (a rarity on cruise ships) and it was a standout.
Coffee-lovers can get their fix at Cafe al Bacio & Gelateria, which also offers extra-fee gelato and Italian ice at an adjoining stand. Cakes and other goodies change throughout the day and are free. With its comfy seats and large picture windows, it's also a delightful spot to relax in. Concierge Class guests enjoy an exclusive Concierge Class Lunch that isn't part of a regular cruise experience. Main Restaurant is an airy, open concept with a varied menu of contemporary dishes plated and presented like never before.
Dinner is a different story with a new menu each day, plus the option to order from the main dining room menu. With a team of highly trained and attentive wait staff attuned to passengers' likes and dislikes, it is almost precognitive at times. Ready to book your cruise and select your Celebrity Cruises dining options? There are even more specialty restaurants onboard for you to fall in love with, like the open-air Magic Carpet Restaurant, nature-inspired eats at Eden, and more.
Pull up a chair, raise a glass, and say, “Cheers” to new friends and new experiences. Le Grand Bistro is styled after a Parisian patisserie, and it’s the perfect place for afternoon tea, warm pastries and croissants, or a ham-and-cheese baguette. Gourmet charcuterie and cheese boards with carafes of wine transition the bistro from the bustle of morning to a relaxed, candlelit evening.
Tuscan Grille, Eclipse's Italian steakhouse restaurant, has the best view of any restaurant aboard the ship, being situated all the way aft. A meal in Tuscan Grille is best enjoyed before the sun goes down and while there are still seats right up against the wall of glass facing the trailing wake of the ship. Other signature touches are an antipasti bar and Caesar salad prepared tableside. There is also the opportunity to pay for upcharge items (steaks), like $15 for a bone-in New York Strip.
It’s one of our favorite spots to eat onboard – just make sure you book ahead. You'll also find international options like Mexican, Indian and Asian, as well as pizza. Indian selections are particularly good, with chicken masala and tandoori chicken all having just enough kick. Live cooking stations with customized pasta options and a selection of sauces are featured as well as made-to-order stir-fries with meat, seafood, spices and sliced vegetables. Tables are generously spaced, which, combined with floor-to-ceiling windows, gives a relaxed, open feel to this popular dining venue. Unlike complimentary restaurants on board, specialty dining doesn’t come included in your traditional cruise fare.
